I begin writing and programming interactive multimedia (IMM) in the late 1980's. The first programs were written with ToolBook, one of the almost-forgotten multimedia authoring tools. In the mid-1990's, my IMM activities migrated to the web. I am an award-winning, interactive media producer and have programmed and developed numerous web sites for education and training.
At one time, I contemplated becoming a filmmaker. Consequently, I specialized in film production as an undergraduate, worked as a Video Production Technician at the Instructional Media Development Center, and created over thirty instructional video programs as the Media Communications Director at Sargent & Lundy Engineers. My filmography (such as it is) includes animated shorts, instructional videos, documentaries, and a narrative or two.

I am, to borrow a phrase from Steve Jones, a recovering musician. Growing-up during the era of punk, my associates and I started playing music in high school. Although none of us knew how to play an instrument, it did not deter us. Following the example of the Ramones, Half-Japanese, and a local band called the Drag, we started writing, performing and even recording what we called "music."
