Plantar Fasciitis / Heel Spurs

Plantar Fasciitis describes pain through the under surface of the foot usually arising from the heel and through the arch. It is often painful during walking or running but is most irritable with the first steps of morning or after sitting. Many times, this pain occurs in conjunction with a heel spur. Spurs may be associated with excessive weight gain, aging, or fallen arches. Therapy is directed to help minimize pain and chronic tissue irritation and to reestablish normal tissue length through the calf and foot.
